Welcome to a Christian faith community that is, in some significant ways, unique. We represent diverse spiritual backgrounds, orientations, professions and experiences and genuinely care about each other. Our community will be enriched by your presence. We look forward to meeting and welcoming you!

THIS SUNDAY
Millions of people in the United States and around the world face hunger every day. For those people more is at stake now than in any previous Bread for the World Offering of Letters campaign. This year we aim to prevent deep cuts in funding for programs that save lives and help people to overcome poverty. We also seek a bold but achievable goal---a united plan to end hunger.
Join us at 9:30 on Sunday, May 19, during the Adult Forum time, to learn more about the issues we will address in our letter to Congress. Plan to write letters to your Representatives and Senators and sign a petition to President Obama urging all to address the growing issue of hunger in our country and throughout the world.
Did You Miss It?
It is still not too late to write your letter at home and mail it to your legislators. Visit the Bread for the World website at www.bread.org to learn more about the issues. Then personalize, print out and mail our sample letter to your Congress people. Don't know your representatives? Look them up at www.mdelect.net

The Assistance Center of Towson Churches (ACTC) is the assistance arm of 48 churches in the Towson area including Maryland Presbyterian. As such, ACTC provided 472,965 pounds of emergency food to hungry people in our neighborhood in 2012.
Each church partner in ACTC takes its turn providing food for a month during the year. May is our turn at MPC. This year there has been a change in the requests for food from each church. We are only being asked to bring 2 different food items but are hoping to contribute lots of it. Read on ... |

| Enjoy a Quiet Walk in the Woods
The Nature Trail/ Meditation Trail in the woods behind the church has been resurfaced with wood chips and six meditation stations have been added. These facilitate the walker's appreciation of the beauty of creation though all the senses. Take a few minutes any time to enjoy the beauty of the forest.
